How are your care workers recruited?
Promises of Care have a robust recruitment and selection process, which complies with all employment legislation as well as the current Care Standards Act 2000 and related regulations requirements. This includes a Disclosure and Barring Service check, including checks against the Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA) register and Protection of Children Act (POCA) list.
What is home (domiciliary) care?
Care workers visit a client’s home on an agreed basis to provide care and/or support tasks. They can fulfil personal care and general household duties. The level of care provided varies, depending on the individual needs and agreed care package. It can range from general companionship and housekeeping to high dependency, intensive personal care.
What areas of the country do you cover?
Promises of Care ’s home care service covers across West Midlands. We maintain a strong pool of trained and qualified care workers who are able to travel at short notice. All of our care workers are managed from an individual local office, and
supported by managers who understand your specific needs and the issues affecting care in your area. Support can also be given by Promises of Care ’s other services, for example Live-in Care.
Promises of Care ’s home care service can be provided for as long as you need us. This varies from short respite ‘sitting’ for a few hours at a time, through to several visits a day on a long term basis to deliver personal care.
